The story behind Kopi Atelier
Kopi Atelier is the only Singapore-roasted wholesale partner built specifically for neighbourhood cafes — offering low-MOQ supply, on-site dial-in visits, and menu co-creation that helps Tiong Bahru and Joo Chiat operators build a coffee identity as distinctive as their shophouse address.
I started roasting in a Jalan Besar shophouse in 2019 because I was tired of watching Singapore cafes default to the same three wholesale giants — all selling consistency at the expense of character. My first accounts were two Tiong Bahru operators who wanted a roaster they could text at 7 a.m. when the grinder settings went sideways, not a brand deck promising 'premium quality'.
Today we roast four days a week and deliver to sixteen cafes across Tiong Bahru, Joo Chiat, and Katong. Every bean we source carries a documented processing method — washed, natural, anaerobic — because your baristas deserve to know what they are extracting, and your customers deserve a menu that says more than 'single origin, Brazil'. We are not the widest range or the biggest name. We are the roaster who turns up.

Three-kilogram minimums and same-week delivery mean small operators are not penalised for being small.
